ASTM B111 seamless copper/alloy tubes are mainly used for heat exchange and fluid delivery. They serve in HVAC, refrigeration condensers/evaporators, marine seawater cooling, power plant heat exchangers, chemical process pipelines, solar thermal systems and hydraulic loops, featuring outstanding thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance.

ASTM B111 covers seamless copper and copper-alloy tubes designed primarily for heat transfer and fluid conveyance service, with strict dimensional, mechanical, and corrosion-resistance requirements. The core service applications of ASTM B111 copper tubes are elaborated as follows:

1. Heat Exchanger & Condenser Systems (Primary Application)

ASTM B111 tubes are the preferred material for industrial and commercial heat exchange equipment due to copper’s superior thermal conductivity and uniform seamless structure:
  • Shell-and-tube condensers and evaporators for refrigeration, air conditioning, and HVAC units, including central air conditioning chillers, industrial cooling towers, and residential heat pumps.
